Jon and Charlie have extensive experience in the Design & Architecture industry:

Both studied Interior Architecture at Middlesex University which focuses on the remodelling and renovation of existing buildings; bridging the gap between Architect and Interior Designer.

 

Jon has worked in Japan for reknowned designer Shigeru Uchida at Studio 80 and later spent a year in Malaysia at the Limkokwing Design School running their Interior Design Course. Back in London Jon pursued a career in the commercial design sector with Marshall Cummings Marsh working with clients such as L’Oreal designing and building their headquarters in Hammersmith.

 

During her time at University Charlie worked for the Burton Group Retail Design with brand names such as Dorothy Perkins & Top Shop and then later joined Jon in Malaysia developing a new Interior Design course for the Limkokwing Institute. In London Charlie pursued her career in the commercial sector working in Hotel Design and Retail Design with notable clients such as Harrods and Adidas.

 

Jon & Charlie combined their design creativity in 1999, setting up footprint design studio; their portfolio of work includes a housing development in Westerham, Kent, homes in areas of Outstanding Beauty and Conservation zones. Recent projects include an extension to Eltham Green Nursery, Hand Made Food in Blackheath and numerous projects in the residential sector. This is where they feel they have the most creativity and opportunity to make a difference to peoples everyday lives.
